Privacy notice
This notice explains how Atlas Finance collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you use app.atlasfinance.global and atlasfinance.global (the Platform), whether you are a borrower, an introducer, a lender, a professional adviser, or someone named in a finance enquiry.
1. Who we are
Atlas Finance Global ("Atlas", "we", "us") is a trading name of Jayrise Investments Limited, a company registered in Gibraltar with company number 125012, whose registered office is at Suite 4.3.02, Block 4, Eurotowers, Gibraltar GX11 1AA. We are the controller of the personal information described in this notice.
We process personal information under the Gibraltar GDPR and Data Protection Act 2004 and, for people in the United Kingdom, the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018. We are appointing a representative in the United Kingdom under Article 27 of the UK GDPR; their details will be added here.
Contact us about privacy at info@atlasfinance.global.
Atlas is a finance arranging and underwriting platform. Atlas is not a lender and arranges only unregulated, commercial finance.
2. What we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: name, email address, company, role (borrower, introducer, lender or professional) and password (stored only in encrypted, hashed form by our authentication provider).
- Enquiry and deal information: what you tell our enquiry assistant and upload, such as the purpose and amount of finance, the borrowing entity, security offered, financial statements, valuations, plans, schedules, identity and ownership details of directors, shareholders and guarantors, and messages you send through the Platform.
- WhatsApp: if you link your mobile number to your account and message us on WhatsApp, your number, WhatsApp profile name, the messages, documents and photos you send, and our replies. These are added to the relevant enquiry and logged in the same way as messages on the website. You can unlink your number at any time from Account → WhatsApp, or reply STOP to stop updates.
- Lender information: your firm, contact details, lending criteria, term sheets and product documents, and terms you issue on deals.
- Professional information: firm details, services, regions, accreditations, professional indemnity cover and expiry, fees and quotes.
- Introducer and commission information: deals you introduce, lenders you recommend, and the information needed to calculate and pay commission (we will ask for payment details separately when a payment is due).
Information we collect automatically
- Technical and security information such as IP address, browser type, sign-in times and error logs, used to keep the Platform secure and working.
- A record of actions taken on each deal (an audit log), so that every decision can be traced.
Information from other sources
- Public registers and data providers, for example Companies House, the Land Registry, planning authorities and property data providers, used to check what we are told.
- Lenders and professionals working on a deal, for example terms, valuations and quotes.
- Publicly available information about lenders, used to build and maintain our lender panel.
Deal information can include special category or criminal offence data only where you choose to provide it (for example, in a director's background). Please do not upload such information unless a lender has specifically asked for it.
3. Why we use it and our lawful bases
| Purpose | Lawful basis (UK GDPR) |
|---|---|
| Creating and running your account; providing the Platform | Contract with you |
| Understanding and underwriting a finance enquiry, checking facts against public sources and preparing it for lenders | Contract with you; our legitimate interest in assessing deals accurately |
| Sharing a deal with lenders and professionals so they can offer terms or quotes | Contract with you; legitimate interests of you, the lender and us in arranging finance |
| Calculating and paying introducer commission and lender-recommendation royalties | Contract with you |
| Emails about your account and deals (for example, new terms or a status change) | Contract with you. These are service messages, not marketing |
| Referring a regulated enquiry to a regulated partner | Your consent, asked for at the time |
| Security, fraud prevention, audit trails and resolving disputes | Legitimate interests; legal obligations |
| Improving our underwriting and matching, using lender feedback and outcomes | Legitimate interests (we use the minimum personal information needed) |
| Complying with law, regulators and anti-money-laundering checks where they apply | Legal obligation |
| Marketing emails about Atlas | Only with your consent or where the law allows for existing customers; you can opt out at any time |
4. How we use AI
The Platform uses artificial intelligence (including models provided by Anthropic) to help gather the information a deal needs, summarise documents, read lenders' term sheets and suggest suitable lenders. AI output supports our team's judgement; it does not replace it.
- No deal is sent to a lender until a person at Atlas has reviewed and approved it.
- We do not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about you based solely on automated processing.
- Our AI providers process information on our instructions and are not permitted to use it to train their models.
5. Who we share it with
- Lenders on our panel that match your deal, after our review. Borrowers and introducers do not see lenders' identities until terms are issued; lenders see the deal information needed to decide whether to lend.
- Professionals (for example valuers and solicitors) when you or we request a quote or instruct them.
- The introducer who submitted your deal, who can see its progress.
- A regulated partner, only with your consent, if your enquiry turns out to be regulated (for example, a loan secured on a home you or your family live in).
- Service providers who host and run the Platform for us under contract: Supabase (database, authentication and file storage, hosted in London), Netlify (website hosting), Anthropic (AI processing), Resend (email delivery), Google Fonts (typefaces) and, if you choose to message us on WhatsApp, Meta Platforms (the WhatsApp Business service, which carries those messages). They act only on our instructions.
- Data sources we query to check facts, such as Companies House and property data providers (we send only what is needed for the check).
- Professional advisers, auditors, insurers, regulators, law enforcement or courts where required by law or to protect our rights.
- A buyer or investor in all or part of our business, under confidentiality, if that happens.
We do not sell personal information.
6. International transfers
Our database and files are hosted in the UK. Some service providers (for example our AI and email providers) may process information in the United States or elsewhere. Where this happens we rely on UK adequacy regulations (including the UK–US data bridge where the provider is certified) or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, together with appropriate security measures. Lenders and professionals on a deal may be outside the UK; we share only what is needed for that deal.
7. How long we keep it
- Accounts: while your account is open, then up to 12 months after closure.
- Deals that complete: six years after completion, or longer if a lender or the law requires it.
- Enquiries that do not proceed: up to two years after the last activity, then deleted or anonymised.
- Commission records: six years after the end of the financial year in which payment is made.
- Security logs: up to 12 months; audit logs for the life of the deal record.
8. Security
Information is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is restricted by role: borrowers and introducers see only their own deals, lenders see only deals released to them, and professionals see only what is shared for a quote. Documents are held in private storage and opened through short-lived links. We keep an audit log of actions on every deal and review access regularly.
9. Your rights
You have the right to access your personal information, correct it, ask us to delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw consent where we rely on consent. To use these rights, email info@atlasfinance.global. We will respond within one month. Some rights are limited where we must keep information for legal reasons or where a completed deal depends on it.
You can complain to the Gibraltar Regulatory Authority, which supervises data protection in Gibraltar, at gra.gi. If you are in the United Kingdom, you can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to resolve your concern first.
10. Cookies and similar technology
The Platform uses only what is strictly necessary to sign you in and keep your session secure (stored in your browser's local storage). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. If this changes we will ask for your consent first.
11. Information about other people
If you give us information about someone else, such as a director, shareholder, guarantor or client, please make sure you are entitled to share it and that they know it will be used as described in this notice. Introducers are responsible for having their client's permission to submit their deal.
12. Changes and contact
We may update this notice. We will show the date of the latest version above and tell account holders about significant changes. Questions: info@atlasfinance.global.
