Business loans and working capital
Business loans fund growth, stock, hiring, refinancing or the purchase of another business. They can be unsecured, secured on property or assets, or structured alongside other facilities. Lenders differ widely on sector, size and appetite, so Atlas matches on those details before your business is presented.
What it's used for
- Working capital and growth plans
- Stock, contracts and seasonal funding
- Acquisitions and management buy-outs
- Refinancing existing borrowing onto better terms
- Funding tax or other one-off liabilities
What lenders look at
- Trading history, turnover and profitability

- Existing borrowing, charges and personal guarantees
- Sector and any concentration risk
- Security available, if any
What you'll need to send
You don't need everything on day one. Start with what you have; Atlas tells you what's missing as the deal is underwritten.
- Last two years' filed accounts
- Recent management accounts and forecasts
- Business bank statements
- Details of existing borrowing
- Company and director details
How Atlas handles it
- Describe the deal. In your own words, online or on WhatsApp. Rough figures are fine.
- We underwrite it. Atlas checks the figures, asks the questions lenders will ask, and builds a complete pack.
- We match it. Your deal goes to the lenders on our panel whose criteria it fits, not to everyone.
- You compare terms. Lenders respond on the platform, and we help you through to completion.

Start a dealCommon questions
Do I need security?
Not always. Unsecured lending is available for established, profitable businesses, usually with a personal guarantee. Larger amounts or weaker trading generally need security.
Can a new business borrow?
Options are narrower without trading history, but they exist, often secured. Atlas is clear with you about what is realistic.
Is this regulated lending?
Atlas arranges unregulated commercial lending to businesses. Some small loans to sole traders and partnerships are regulated; if yours is, we will offer to refer you to a regulated partner.
